Air Canada Flight #997 declared an in-flight emergency before making an unplanned landing at Boise Airport Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported.
According to City of Boise, Air Canada Flight #997 was en route to Canada when pilots aboard the plane declared an emergency and were forced to divert to BOI for an unplanned landing.
The Boeing 737 departed from Mexico City, Mexico at roughly 6 a.m. and was scheduled to land in Vancouver, Canada at 10:55 a.m. . According to flight tracking websiteBoise Airport staff deboarded the plane and assisted passengers through U.S. Customs, according to the city. Border Patrol officials were onsite to help assist with proper entry into the U.S.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene at 10:43 a.m. where they remained on standby throughout the afternoon. No injuries were reported. Boise Airport stated in a news release that there were no impacts to airport operations, and that all runways remain open.
