A Lancaster County man is out $13,000 after accepting an electronic invitation to buy Bitcoin, police said.
Police said the Clay Township man reported the fraud Tuesday afternoon, but it’s unclear when the purchase was made. The man told Northern Lancaster County Regional police the Bitcoin was drained from his account immediately after the purchase. The $13,000 was stolen from the man’s savings account, police said. Police are still investigating who is responsible for the theft.
