DeSantis finally responded to Newsom's latest barrage of insultsin Fort Pierce, Florida, on Thursday. He took aim at Newsom for his frequent national posturing, noting that if the California governor is going to keep focusing on states that aren't California, he should hurry up and announce he intends to challenge President Joe Biden for the White House.
“He has a real serious fixation on the state of Florida. I mean I think it’s just bizarre that he does that,” DeSantis said of Newsom. “What I would tell him is: You know what? Stop pussyfooting around. Are you going to throw your hat into the ring and challenge Joe? Are you going to get in and do it? Or are you just going to sit on the sidelines and chirp?”
