National Weather Service officials are expecting a second round of thunderstorms to hit portions of north central, northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana later Thursday. Southerly winds are expected to gust between 35 to 45 mph with the strongest winds expected east of Interstate 57 and across northwest Indiana, officials said.Morning conditions at Midway Airport are mostly cloudy at 68 degrees, and at O’Hare International Airport conditions are the same at 67 degrees.
