An Englewood native has been reaching new heights in a women's volleyball program at Olive-Harvey College in Pullman on Chicago's South Side
She's a first-year star scholar leaving her mark on the Panthers volleyball program.
The Englewood native started playing volleyball as a family hobby, but it quickly became her passion. She started working hard on and off the court to turn it into opportunity. Now, Jones said, she wants to give the game to others. Over winter break, she and her sister held a volleyball tournament in family's native country, Belize. They provided a match and a meal to anyone who showed up.
