Chicago shooting: At least 3 shot, including child, on Near West Side

Chicago police said at least three people were shot, including a child, on the city's Near West Side.

Police said the shooting happened near Oakley and Maypole sometime around or before 5 p.m. Wednesday.Police said a 52-year-old, a 17-year old and a child were all wounded. No further details about the victims, including their genders and if they knew or had any relation to each other, were immediately known.

An investigation by Chicago police is ongoing. It was not immediately known if anyone was in custody for the shooting. Police have not released any information about any potential suspects.
