In a 76-72 win over the Connecticut Sun in Game 3 of the WNBA semifinals, the Chicago Sky had difficulty getting into a rhythm.
With their shots once again not falling, the Chicago Sky turned to their defense to take control of their WNBA semifinal series.
The Sky offense wasn’t much better in that stretch, producing only Kahleah Copper’s go-ahead 3-pointer with 6:14 left and Meesseman’s jumper with 2:26 to go. But Copper, Candace Parker and Courtney Vandersloot combined to go 6 of 6 from the line down the stretch as the Sky held on. Usually a strong 3-point shooting team, the Sky have had difficulty getting shots to fall in this series. They shot 35.3% from the field and 26.7% on 3s in Game 1, and while those numbers took a noticeable jump in Game 2 to 50.8% and 40%, their shot selection is still an area for improvement.
