BYD, the Shenzhen-headquartered vehicle and battery maker backed by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, said today sales of new energy vehicles more than quadrupled in January to 93,168 compared with 20,178 a year earlier. For all of 2021, BYD, sold 603,782 new energy vehicles, compared with new 189,689 in 2020, an increase of 218% from a year earlier.
