Chris Pine has remained silent about the drama surrounding ‘Don’t Worry Darling’—until now.
, and the actor now says “Venice was normal things getting swept up in a narrative that people wanted to make, compounded by the metastasizing that can happen in the Twittersphere. It was ridiculous.”
Pine again asserted, “Harry did not spit on me. Harry is a very, very kind guy. I was on the plane with my publicist…sleeping, having a great time on the plane. I love planes. And she wakes me up in a state, and she says, we have to craft a message about what happened in Venice…She showed me the thing.”
He maintained that while Styles leaning over Pine could give the appearance of saliva-slinging, that wasn’t the case in reality. “I think what he said, he leaned down and I think he said, ‘It’s just words, isn’t it,’” Pine recalled of Styles’s take on press conferences. “We’re all jet-lagged. Sometimes you’re doing these press things, your brain gets befuddled.”bubble.
