Hurts has the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl after accounting for more than 4,400 yards — 3,701 passing, 760 rushing — and 35 touchdowns this season.
Chris, the son of former Giants quarterback Phil Simms and a former NFL quarterback himself, now works as an analyst for NBC. And, he has not always been the biggest Hurts supporter. In fact, just last week, he said he believed that current Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was a better passer than Hurts.Because, Monday on PFT Live, Simms finally confessed that he has been wrong about the Eagles quarterback.“Yeah, I questioned how good he was.
“He’s one of the greatest leaders in the sport,” Simms added. “You could tell right there , he doesn’t even seem happy that he won the NFC Championship game. He seems like he’s still chippy and like ‘I’m gonna prove you wrong still more.’ I love that about him. I do.”So, not that Hurts likely cared, but that’s one more person he has proven wrong in his career.
