Two suspects, a 20-year-old and a juvenile, were arrested Sunday for their roles in a Christmas morning shooting that left two people injured at a Plano home. Officers responded to a residence in the 3100 block of Kingston Drive around 4 a.m. after neighbors reported hearing gunshots then a vehicle driving away, police said. They found two victims with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries at the home, but the suspects had left.
Plano officers arrested Jose Mendez, of Garland, and a juvenile about 2:40 p.m. in Dallas County after a “brief foot chase,” according to police.Mendez was booked into the Collin County Jail; it was unclear if he had an attorney. His total bond for the assault charges is $1 million, jail records show..
