is actually the most popular vehicle in America, based on the number of Instagram hashtags it has. That’s not enormously surprising given the car’s popularity among enthusiasts and its attainable pricing. Whatsurprising to me, though, is that the relatively humdrum Honda CR-V is the sixth most popular car on Instagram by that measure with 1 million hashtags. That’s one fifth as many as the Civic and half as many as the Dodge Charger.
The data for electric vehicles, meanwhile, is even stranger. The popular new segment of the market has been taking up a lot of time, effort, and money from automakers, so it’s somewhat surprising to see that, according to Chrysler Capital,The e-tron is a perfectly good EV, so it’s not surprising that people are interested in it; it’s just unusual that it beat all Tesla models.
