The University Hills community will include single-family homes, townhomes, retail, offices, green spaces and a town center.The Dallas City Council has approved up to $31.4 million in tax increment financing for the first phase of University Hills, ain southern Dallas next to the University of North Texas at Dallas campus.
The first phase will include more than 500 single-family homes and townhomes, 250 apartments and almost 200,000 square feet of offices and retail, the company said. Site work and land acquisition for the first phase of the project is estimated to cost more than $63 million, according to city documents. Under the agreement, the developer must buy the land by the end of 2023 and complete site work by the end of 2025.
