Two 'presumptive positive' cases of COVID-19 were announced by health officials in Colorado Thursday.
Health officials announced the first two cases of the disease COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus in Colorado Thursday, making the state one of 20 with cases of the illness.
"We are hopeful that the patient will have a swift recovery," said Jill Hunsaker Ryan, executive director of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment , in a press release announcing the first case."Like other states, we expected to begin seeing cases in Colorado and that is why we have been preparing for the past couple of months, in conjunction with local public health agencies and healthcare partners.
