Arapahoe Basin is working to prepare the resort for the upcoming ski and snowboard season, but it's also thinking about plans well into the future.
The first major winter storm of the season will bring 8 to 18 inches of snow to the mountains of Colorado this weekend.The Dillon ski area said when it opens it will operate seven days a week with mid-mountain to base skiing for skiers and riders on High Noon via the Black Mountain Express.Winter Storm Warning

The heaviest snow in the Denver area will likely fall on Saturday afternoon and overnight into Sunday morning.
