“Unsportsmanlike conduct on the Colorado State bench,” the referee said over his microphone. “Will the audience please refrain from throwing snowballs?” The penalty turned a second down into a first down at Air Force’s 49-yard-line and the Falcons ended the drive with a touchdown run from quarterback Zac Larrier to take a 20-13 lead.
