TONIGHT: Scattered rain, low 66.WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy, isolated showers & storms, high 81.FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy, scattered showers & storms, warm, humid, high 80.A cut-off low means that it is cut off from the jet stream and the normal west to east flow we typically experience. This low pressure system will cause pockets of rain near it and since it will be passing by to our south, Kentucky a lot of the week, then our best chance of rain will be the Southern half of Ohio this week.
Monday will be one of our better chances of rain this week, 60% chance of rain for Central Ohio. Most of the rain will likely fall in the form of showers, but a few rumbles of thunder are possible. Highs today in the lower 80s with humidity going up. The chance of rain drops to around 30%-40% chance for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our morning low temps will be in the mid 60s and afternoon highs around 80.
Another bump up in our chance of rain arrives on Friday, 60% chance again, with highs around 80. Then the long term forecast models finally start dragging the low pressure system to the east coast this weekend followed by a cold front late Sunday into Monday of next week. I am going to go with a 40% chance of rain for the weekend and highs, warming up more, in the mid 80s.So we stay warm, humid, with a chance of rain each day on the extended forecast.
