It's Bike to Work Day and the weather is good. Treat stations will be open from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. and again from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Patrons enjoy food during the Spenard Food Truck Carnival under the windmill in Spenard on Thursday, July 9, 2020. Taste of Spenard is an outdoor market and festival organized by the people who bring you the Spenard Food Truck Carnival. There will be booths run by iconic Spenard businesses, including a full bar provided by Koot’s, as well as farmers’ and wellness booths. The event is free to attend, so stop by the lot under the windmill in Spenard from noon until 5 p.m.
Food For Thought Alaska is launching a community fridge in Anchorage, and they’re throwing ato get it started. From 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Food for Thought Alaska will be raffling off prizes, training volunteers, and hanging out with their community partners. Stop by the Brown Jug parking lot on Mountain View Drive and Klevin Street to see what’s happening.“Sabor Ártico” is a short documentary about Latinx culture in Alaska.
