Community mourns woman killed in alleged domestic violence murder
Krystal Gomez met Maira Gutierrez in sixth grade, but in the more than 20 years since then, they only ran into each other occasionally."She was a very loved person," Gomez said."We don't see each other all the time, but when we do, it's like we didn't miss a beat. We've always been that way."at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, according to police.

Moreno talked about how her aunt was always there for her, seeing her at her best and sometimes her worst.
Police said Gutierrez, 38, was shot to death after being seen forced into an SUV near her ex-boyfriend's Pasadena apartment, according to police. A warrant has been issued the ex-boyfriend, Daniel Chacon, 30, who police say they believe committed both crimes. He was still at-large as of Wednesday night.
