The city of San Antonio says contractors will be working 24 hours a day to pave two sections of North St. Mary's Street.
Ongoing road construction on North St. Mary's Street has caused friction between city leaders and business owners in the area.Just as spring break gets underway the city of San Antonio has announced some road closures as construction work continues along North St. Mary’s Street.
From 7 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, the intersection of North St. Mary’s Street and East Ashby Place will be closed. Drivers will be detoured to East Dewey Place, McCullough Avenue and East Mistletoe. In addition, starting at 7 p.m. Monday, alternating lanes on North St. Mary’s will be closed from East Mistletoe to East Woodlawn Avenue.
The city said its contractors will be working 24 hours a day to pave the street in those areas. Once the work is complete, two-way traffic along North St. Mary’s Street will resume.Construction work has prompted road closures on North St. Mary's Street for the start of spring break.
