The recently resigned officer sits in Cook County Jail following accusations that he illegally entered his ex's home in September and took nude photos of a rival as he slept, prosecutors said.

A former Chicago police officer is sitting in Cook County Jail following a whirlwind week that included him being convicted of domestic battery, quitting the force and being newly charged with illegally entering his ex-girlfriend’s home and attacking her new boyfriend, according to prosecutors.

In a prior domestic battery case, court records described their relationship as an “intimate, non-monogamous” relationship, according to court records. Still, Giles had a history of entering the woman’s Ashburn home without permission and exhibiting jealousy, authorities said. Last October, Giles allegedly entered the woman’s home with a key and becoming irate because she was talking to another man.
