The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after officers pulled her out of her vehicle.
Officers with Idaho's Ada County Sheriff's Office saved a woman whose car spun out onto a frozen pond and crashed through the ice after she hit a berm.
"Sklar then saw the SUV crack the ice and begin to sink—and no one was getting out," officials said in the post. The woman and officers faced dangerous consequences due to the frigid waters. "By that point, the SUV was mostly submerged and he could see the airbags inside had deployed," the Facebook post stated.
"The woman appeared to be in shock from the collision, the airbags going off and the extreme cold," the post stated. She was taken to the hospital to be treated for what officials said appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
