Two other people were injured in the Sunday afternoon crash at a Lancaster County intersection, police said.

Sieglinde K. Simpson, of Newark, Delaware, was driving a Mercedes sedan east on Locust Lane when she was involved in a crash around 5:10 p.m. at the Eshelman Mill Road intersection, according to the coroner’s office.

Police said the other vehicle involved in the crash, a Mercedes SUV, was headed south on Eshelman Mill Road at the time. The SUV’s driver, a Willow Street woman, was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Simpson was taken to Lancaster General Health Penn Medicine, where police said she was pronounced dead. A passenger from Simpson’s car was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

West Lampeter police are asking anyone who saw or has information on the crash to call their department at 717-464-2421.
