BREAKING Riverside County correctional deputy, daughter identified as victims killed in Moreno Valley crash allegedly caused by drunk driver
The alleged drunk driver, who was hospitalized after the crash, has been arrested for two counts of homicide, as well as driving under the influence and causing injury to a passenger in his own vehicle.
Investigators say Bales was driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck westbound on Gilman Springs Road when he apparently crossed over the middle of the divided highway and headed into oncoming traffic. News video showed the mangled truck and car at the scene. The truck was on the right shoulder, while the car ended up off the side of the road.
