The Cleveland Clinic just released its annual national heart survey to kick off Heart Month, showing overall, food cost and access to healthy foods are some of the largest issues for participants.
It's a time where health officials are encouraging everyone to prioritize their overall well-being and focus on heart health. Research shows heart disease is the number one killer for men and women.

Nearly half of Americans view cost as biggest barrier to healthy eating, survey finds - KRLD NewsFebruary is American Heart Month and according to Cleveland Clinic’s 2023 Heart Health Survey, almost half of Americans, 46%, view healthy food as being too expensive as the biggest barrier to eating healthy. That reason was followed by a lack of time to prepare healthy meals, 23%, and a lack of recipes or knowledge of how to cook healthier food, 20%.
