Pfizer’s COVID-19 treatment could be authorized for emergency use in the U.S. by the end of this year or early next year, pending the FDA’s timeline, Pfizer CEO says. 'Hopefully we'll see FDA authorization of this pill soon,' Dr. johnbrownstein says.

The U.S. COVID-19 death toll surpassed 800,000 on Tuesday, according to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.The figure is greater than the approximately 700,000 Americans who've died from AIDS-related illnesses over the last four decades, and it's higher than the total number of American troops to died in battle since 1900.
