On Thursday, McLaughlin’s case was adjourned to May 29. Crown prosecutor John Knox said the Crown plans to make an application that day. “It’s for a 752.1 application, which is an application to have Mr. McLaughlin assessed to determine if it would be suitable to bring either a dangerous offender application pursuant to s. 753, or a long term offender application pursuant to s. 753.1,” he said.
