Playhouse Square was the top recipient of Cuyahoga Arts & Culture's 2023 grant process. CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga Arts & Culture on Wednesday awarded grants totaling $11.76 million to 273 Cuyahoga County-based nonprofit arts, cultural and community organizations.

Playhouse Square received the largest grant at $1.2 million, followed by the Cleveland Orchestra , Cleveland Museum of Art , Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Museum and ideastream, the public broadcasting umbrella group for WVIZ-TV Channel 25, WKSU-FM/89.7 and WCLV-FM/90.3 . Times have been tough for these organizations. She says, “COVID-19, inflation, and staffing shortages have not spared our arts nonprofits. We are proud to support them as they push ahead to produce inspiring programs that serve our community.”
