In an effort to address homelessness, CVS Health announced Tuesday that it is spending $10 million to build a 48-unit affordable supportive housing apartment community on the west side.
They will also have access to Outreach Inc.'s drop-in centers a few blocks away, which provide hot meals, a clothing pantry, a computer lab, employment support and health support.
"If you're like me, it's easy to be jaded about big corporations," Joe Bowling, executive director of 12 units reserved for households earning 30% of the area median income, which is $27,750 for a 4-person household23 units for those earning 60% of the area median income, which is about $54,700 for a 4-person household
