The father of a 5-day-old Sauk Village girl who died as a result of abuse-inflicted injuries has been charged with first-degree murder, police said Monday.
Kevon Taylor, 23, of Sauk Village, was being held in police custody in Sauk Village pending an initial hearing at the Markham courthouse, police said.
The infant, Kenzie Taylor, of the 2600 block of Marigold Drive, had been pronounced dead at UChicago Medicine at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
