With striking photos, the bilingual book — in English and Spanish — chronicles the Dallas artist’s career and explains how she discovered a passion for bronze sculpting that helped her find peace after she experienced trauma at a young age. Troice, who has lived in Texas and Mexico, filled the book with personal stories, detailed photographs and a picture-by-picture recounting of the casting process for her artworks.

The forms that she creates are always recognizable, yet they are framed in what the artist calls “minimalist geometry.” She cites Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuşi and Spanish artist Pablo Picasso as influences.
