Daphne Search and Rescue announced on social media Wednesday night that it is continuing to search for the 7-year-old boy lost in a fishing boat accident weeks ago off Dauphin Island.
) - have concluded their searches for the boy. The bodies of Michael Slezak and Wooley were subsequently recovered, as well the fishing vessel Marty Ann.
. The bodies of all four victims were eventually recovered after weeks of searching the waters and coastline. It post states: “DSAR members were present almost 20 years ago when the four children from the Dauphin Island bridge tragedy were searched for and all located and brought home. The last one of the children to be located was found off of Louisiana.”
The Daphne Search and Rescue vessel Impact has been used in the search for 7-year-old Hunter Slezak, lost weeks ago in a fishing boat accident off Dauphin Island.The post continues: “We have also seen a man missing from the Mobile river delta recovered near Louisiana over a month after he went missing in the Tensaw River. Others off of Alabama have been found off of coastal Mississippi.
The Daphne Search and Rescue post acknowledges that “it’s not feasible for a continued and prolonged search of such a large area but those already on the water and any who are willing need to continue to look out for Hunter and hopefully he can be brought home.”
