His 19-year-old daughter had also been stabbed and was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition. Initially, police believed two men had forced their way into the home and demanded to be shown a safe, but police say there are no signs of forced entry and no safe in the home. Investigators are looking into the domestic history of the family and whether the killing may have instead stemmed from a family dispute.
