Texas-based Whataburger has hired a seasoned executive to help with the expansion of the fast-food brand.

San Antonio-based Whataburger has added a seasoned food industry executive to join its leadership team.Stroud spent the last five years at Starbucks Coffee Company , most recently serving as its vice president of U.S. retail operations, according to a news release.

Before that, she spent nearly 30 years with McDonald's Corporation . She held several financial roles and ultimately served as vice president and general manager in the U.S. Southeast region. "Her experience leading operations in a time of accelerated growth will truly benefit our brand as we continue to grow across 15 states and deliver bold flavors, extraordinary hospitality, and meaningful communities in our 930+ locations," Whataburger President and CEO
