Democratic primary for Cook County State's Attorney remains too close to call
CHICAGO -- The Democratic primary winner in the race for Cook County State's Attorney remained too close to call late Wednesday. As of Wednesday afternoon, there were 109,000 mail-in ballots outstanding in the city of Chicago. But in addition to that, many precincts never reported their full count. The results from those precincts were expected to be made available by the end of the business day Wednesday.
The Chicago Board of Elections told CBS 2 that about 109,000 mail-in ballots were sent out and remain to be counted. The board plans to start counting those ballots on Thursday.'It's a bit of a question mark of how many of those are ultimately going to come back – and especially with a lower-turnout election like we just saw.
