The Best of Denver issue, celebrating the city's 40th anniversary, is now available on the streets and web. This annual issue captures the evolution of Denver 's social, cultural, political, and business scenes. The first Best of Denver issue was published in June 1984, showcasing a thriving but evolving city. Some winners from that time are still present today. As the first Music/Culture Editor, I had the opportunity to work on the inaugural issue and subsequent editions.
It was a chance to showcase our favorite aspects of the city and recognize the very best people, places, and things in Denver
