Wind gusts could reach up to 55 mph
Wind gusts of up to 55 mph are possible there and some moderate to heavy snowfall is possible along the Interstate 70 and U.S. 40 mountain corridors.Once the front reaches Denver and the plains, it will have to battle dry air to produce snowfall here, but a few showers may make it into the area. Less than an inch of snow is expected if anything does fall, though.
The winds here won’t be quite as strong as the mountains, but gusts behind the front could reach 25 to 35 mph. Thursday will be back to partly sunny weather, but temperatures will remain cold and the strong winds will persist. The high is 34 degrees, and wind gusts could reach 29 mph.
