Deputies search for shooter who fired rounds in San Marcos parking lot [Breaking]
A person armed with a handgun fired several rounds in a San Marcos parking lot Sunday afternoon, but no injuries were reported, a sheriff’s official said.The shooting occurred just before 3 p.m. on West San Marcos Boulevard, east of Knoll Road.Several 911 callers reported that the shooter got out of a vehicle and fired three to six rounds, then ran away. One caller said the shooter fired at flatbed trailers in the parking lot.
Deputies, with the help of a helicopter, searched for the shooter. He was last seen several blocks away on Autumn Drive near Buelow Park. He was described as Latino, 15 to 20 years old, with a muscular build, wearing gray sweatpants, a black T-shirt and carrying a black and white flannel shirt. The Sheriff’s Department said he was considered armed and dangerous.
