Deputy who shot armed man at Vista church identified [Breaking]
The shooting at Iglesia Ni Cristo was the second time Deputy Justin Williams shot an armed man in the line of duty. The patrol deputy has been with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department for nearly three years.
The San Diego Police Department is investigating per a countywide protocol that keeps agencies from investigating shootings by their own officers or deputies. The man’s name was not released. The county District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the incident to determine whether to file any criminal charges against him.the second
