was extremely productive throughout the 2022 campaign. Jackson recorded career-highs in tackles and fumbles forced while also accounting for 6.0 tackles for loss. Jackson then experienced a fruitful showing at his Pro Day by running the 40-yard dash in a blazing 4.65 seconds.
Dequan Jackson: There’s always a sense of urgency when you’re entering your senior season. I left everything on the line. I was en route to enjoying a similar season in 2021, but a late-season injury capped the tail end of my performance. I was worry-free in 2022 and it led to the type of season I knew I was capable of having. I was determined to put my best foot forward in 2022.
I know scouts have been watching my tape and they’re impressed with what they see, but they wanted to see me perform athletically as well. I checked some of those boxes. I ran, jumped, and flew around out there. It was a lot of fun. Everybody was satisfied with my performance. It’s setting me up nicely moving forward.
I don’t like putting limits on my game. I’m still growing as a player after all these years. I’m excited to keep taking those next steps.
