At the ForbesTopAdvisor Summit, Blackstone President and COO Jonathan Gray said to invest in these 6 areas

Gray, who appeared on stage with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management President Andy Sieg, said he expects to see a continuation of the trend around alternatives and sees a budding bifurcation of investments between passive and a high desire for alternatives exposure. He made specific mention ofRenewable energy

This was not the only area in which he said that technological investments were changing the economics. He said that technology was making a significant impact in several arenas, including but not limited to financial services, energy, retail and media. With all that considered, he said that the coronavirus outbreak has thrown a wild card into that picture. That proclamation came with Gray speaking in the aftermath of a major drop in the financial markets earlier in the day on news that the epidemic had spread to Italy and South Korea. He said that this development could mean that businesses in the travel, energy or supply chain industry suffering in the near term.
