Another week, another problem caused by Telesto, the Destiny 2 fusion rifle that quite literally shoots bugs and glitches.
The problem with Telesto is almost always down to how its bolts were coded, which are physical objects unlike most ammo, and often count as…enemies that can absorb damage and trigger on-kill effects. Recently, we had a Telesto issue where you could get your super back incredibly quickly by blowing up Telesto bolts with either a grenade or charged melee , triggering super regen mods.
in the Blind Well and having the bolts explode filled up the % enemy kill meter incredibly quickly, because each exploding bolt counted as an enemy being killed. Telesto ally armor though? That’s a new one. No word on when it will be re-enabled, but I do wonder if Bungie ever wants to simply remove it from the game entirely due to all the problems it’s caused. But at this point, they are pretty much just playing along with the joke:
What will Telesto do next? Will its bolts start dropping engrams? Counting as kills to pad your KDA? Who knows, but surely, we haven’t seen the last glitch out of the king of glitches yet.
