Developers are eyeing another high-rise project in North Dallas’ Preston Center neighborhood.

The developers are seeking planning approvals to construct two apartment buildings with 225 units on land now occupied by the low-rise Royal Orleans and Diplomat Condominiums. Two older residential towers – the Athena and Preston Tower – are located along that same stretch of Northwest Highway.Commercial property firm CBRE Group has been marketing the Royal Orleans to potential buyers. Current zoning “now allows for high rise development on the land,” according to the brokers.

On Douglas Avenue just south of Preston Center, developer Lincoln Property is building two high-rises that will add more office and residential space.
