President Donald Trump may have inadvertently spooked investors and deepened the selloff in Boeing—and aerospace supplier shares such as General Electric—by suggesting they need help. Investors, already unnerved by Covid-19, had to consider yet another problem: dilution.
It’s another thing to worry about, but some suppliers might not need government money. And that could present an opportunity for investors.
