Police say they got evidence from a water bottle and deployed airbag in the stolen SUV after the crash that killed Tyrone Thompson, 67.
Talia M. Holton, 21, was arrested and charged Tuesday with vehicular homicide in the July 2022 crash that killed Tyrone Thompson at North 17th and Regina Street, according to court documents. The records listed her address as two blocks away from the crash scene.
Witnesses told police they saw four women jump out of the wrecked SUV and flee. Two of the women went back to the SUV to retrieve their belongings, but ran away again without speaking to police or checking on the pickup’s occupants, according to court documents. Harrisburg police served search warrants in February and obtained DNA samples from Holton and her sister. Court documents said Holton was a “potential contributor” to DNA collected from the water bottle and the deployed driver’s airbag. The sister Holton’s DNA was ruled out of the sample collected from both.
