Doctor Who's David Tennant returns as the Fourteenth Doctor in a celebratory new 60th-anniversary image released to celebrate the actor's birthday.
While celebrating David Tennant's birthday, the official Doctor Who Twitter account has released a new image of the returning star's new incarnation of the series' Time Lord, the Fourteenth Doctor. Tennant first took part in the television series in 2005, where he first appeared as the Tenth Doctor following Christopher Eccleston's Ninth Doctor in the season 1 finale, "The Parting of the Ways".
In the image, Tennant's new incarnation of the Doctor can be seen stepping out of the TARDIS in his already recognizable outfit. The image is promoting the three upcoming 60th-anniversary specials set to air in fall 2023, which will be led by Tennant before he hands over the keys to the TARDIS to Fifteenth Doctor actor Ncuti Gatwa.
