The Dodgers met with pitcher Justin Verlander for a potential role in the rotation. However, there are other pitchers who fit what the team is looking for.

Even if he doesn’t return to the Astros — who reportedly have been reluctant to give him a three-year contract,— the pitcher has garnered interest from the New York Mets, New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves.
