Another season cut short for LA...
But they couldn’t overcome the obstacle of facing the 84-win Arizona Diamondbacks in the NLDS, and they put together one of the worst postseasons for this organization in a while.
Manager Dave Roberts took the blame for this series loss, and even admitted that he needs to do a better job of getting the guys ready for the postseason. While many will point to Roberts as the problem, he was far from it this season. The offense went completely cold over the three-game series, and you can’t win when you can’t hit., and LA couldn’t muster anything up. They had chances to take over games but failed to seize the opportunity in front of them.
“Yeah, the regular season, I think we do a great job," Roberts said."But the last couple of postseasons it just hasn’t gone well for us and so I’ve got to figure it out.”
