According to Upper Allen Township police, the two dogs were running loose around 7 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Northern Spy Drive in the Winding Hills Development.
Teresa Harrold said the incident occurred when two of her dogs, including a Dalmatian hound mix named Chase, accidentally escaped from her home. Harrold, who was out of town at the time of the incident, said the dogs slipped out when her pet sitter opened the door for a neighbor.the two dogs were running loose around 7 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Northern Spy Drive in the Winding Hills Development.
As of Monday afternoon, Harrold said only one of her dogs, Chase, was mandated by the dog warden to follow strict quarantine guidelines related to the incident. “It was upsetting, and we went to training and it didn’t rise to the level of this,” she said. “We had thought we had worked through the issues.”
For now, Harrold said they are following orders from police to quarantine Chase inside for 10 days, with exception to bathroom breaks in the family’s fenced-in backyard. Chase is wearing prong and shock collars and a harness to ensure he doesn’t escape, she said.
