The black Labrador retriever puppy was donated to the Morris County Sheriff's Office.

The newest employee of the Morris County Sheriff’s office isn’t a police academy recruit, but instead a 5-month-old black Labrador retriever.community as an explosive detection dog, officials said.

In addition to detecting explosives, the dog, “will also assist in the vital task of reuniting loved ones with their families as a search and rescue trained K9,” said Sheriff James M. Gannon in a press release.
